Kolejny sukces!
W Liceum Ogólnokształcącym im. Marsz. St. Małachowskiego w Płocku odbył się konkurs pt. „The (non)fictionalworld of Agatha Christie” dla uczniów liceów Płocka i powiatu płockiego.
Okazją do zorganizowania powyższego Konkursu i uczczenia w ten sposób pamięci tej niezwykle poczytnej autorki była przypadająca w roku poprzednim 125 rocznica urodzin, zaś w roku bieżącym 40 rocznica śmierci Agathy Christie. Celem konkursu była m.in. popularyzacja twórczości Agathy Christie, rozwijanie zainteresowań uczniów literaturą i kinematografią brytyjską, a także integracja środowisk szkolnych.
Uczniowie przystępujący do Konkursu musieli wykazać się kompetencją językową w zakresie języka angielskiego na poziomie średnio-zaawansowanym. Ponadto, uczestnicy musieli dysponować szeroką wiedzą na temat życia i twórczości Agathy Christie. Pytania konkursowe dotyczyły znajomości fabuły, bohaterów, aspektów kulturowych, środków stylistycznych i technik pisarskich jakie zostały przedstawione i zastosowane w pozycjach książkowych wymienionych w Regulaminie Konkursu. W pytaniach pojawiały się także elementy związane z biografią autorki oraz ekranizacjami wymienionych powieści,
ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem różnic pomiędzy wersjami książkowymi i filmowymi wymienionych utworów. Wszystkie pytania konkursowe były pytaniami wielokrotnego wyboru. Podkreślić należy niezwykle wysoki poziom wiedzy merytorycznej w powyższym zakresie, jakim wykazali się uczestnicy Konkursu.
Uczeń klasy II LO Bartosz Król zajął IV miejsce.
W oczekiwaniu na wyniki, goście, zarówno uczniowie jak i nauczyciele, zwiedzali wraz z przewodnikiem odrestaurowane budynki i sale Małachowianki, które wywarły na nich duże wrażenie. Po zakończeniu prac Komisji Konkursowej, zwycięzcy Konkursu otrzymali dyplomy z rąk Pani Katarzyny Góralskiej, Dyrektor LO im. Marsz. St. Małachowskiego w Płocku.
Po uroczystości wręczenia nagród, uczestnicy, nauczyciele opiekunowie oraz goście przy herbacie i ciasteczkach prowadzili rozmowy w języku angielskim na temat twórczości Agathy Christie, nauki języków obcych oraz dla kultywowania tradycji brytyjskiej – pogody. Wszyscy wyrazili nadzieję, iż w przyszłym roku odbędzie się kolejna edycja konkursu.
