      Skąpany w słońcu Gąbin powitał 2 czerwca 2017 roku uczestników VII Powiatowej Olimpiady Integracyjnej odbywającej się pod hasłem „Sport, a nie hejt” pod patronatem starosty płockiego Pana Mariusza Bieńka.

       Celem imprezy było popularyzowanie aktywnego i zdrowego spędzania czasu, integracja uczniów z różnych szkół oraz budzenie ducha sportowej rywalizacji fair play oraz przeciwdziałanie mowie nienawiści – hejtowi. Jak Pani Dyrektor Danuta Kowalkowska-Fiłoniuk wspomniała w swej przemowie jesteśmy przeciwko mowie nienawiści, agresji, przeciw nowej formie nienawiści – hejtowaniu. Szkoła
 i jej uczniowie biorą udział w wielu przedsięwzięciach takich jak m.in. program Fundacji Gireremka Szkoła Równego Traktowania 2016 – otrzymaliśmy odznakę z rąk  z-cy Rzecznika Praw Obywatelskich  czy certyfikat Szkoła bez nienawiści w 2015, corocznie uczestniczymy w programie Dzień  Bezpiecznego Internetu.

       Na uroczystości mieliśmy zaszczyt gościć: Panią Iwonę Sierocką – wicestarostę płockiego, Panią Małgorzatę Struzik – dyrektora Wydziału Edukacji, Kultury i Spraw Społecznych wraz z Panią Beatą Żółtowską, Panią Elżbietę Annę Jachimiak – Radną Powiatu Płockiego, Panią Joanną Misiakowską – dyrektora Zespołu Szkół im. J Śniadeckiego w Wyszogrodzie, przedstawicieli Ochotniczej Straży Pożarnej z Gąbina, przedstawicieli Komendy Miejskiej Policji w Płocku wraz z Rzecznikiem Panem, Krzysztofem Piasek   oraz komendanta Komisariatu Policji w Gąbinie Pana  Piotra Donarskiego, przewodniczącego Rady Rodziców Pana Sławomira Felczaka, proboszcza Parafii św. Mikołaja w Gąbinie ks. Józefa Szczecińskiego.

     W rozgrywkach, konkurencjach oraz zabawach rekreacyjnych udział wzięli uczniowie z Zespołu Szkół im. Leokadii Bergerowej w Płocku, Zespołu Szkół im. J. Śniadeckiego w Wyszogrodzie, Gimnazjów z Sannik oraz Gąbina, Ośrodka Szkolno-Wychowawczego w Mocarzewie i Zespołu Szkół Specjalnych w Goślicach.

      Ten pełen wrażeń dzień rozpoczął się od zbiórki drużyn na szkolnym stadionie. Imponująca ceremonia otwarcia olimpiady nawiązywała do starożytności – rydwan z bogiem Zeusem, Greczynki z flagą olimpijską, olimpijski ogień, wieńce laurowe, hymn olimpijski. Przedstawiciele drużyn wciągnęli uroczyście olimpijską flagę na maszt oraz zapalili olimpijski znicz, zawodnicy i sędziowie złożyli ślubowanie. oraz wysłuchano powitań, życzeń i pozdrowień od Pani Danuty Kowalkowskiej-Fiłoniuk – dyrektora Szkoły oraz Pani Iwony Sierockiej – wicestarosty płockiego. Pan Krzysztof Piasek odczytał list od p.o. Komendanta Miejskiej Policji w Płocku nadkom. Sławomira Żelechowskiego, w którym podziękował społeczności szkolnej za czynne włączanie się  w profilaktyczne działania policji.

      Następnie Pani starosta wraz z panią dyrektor  dokonały uroczystego otwarcia   Olimpiady  słowami: „ VII POWIATOWĄ OLIMJADĘ INTEGRACYJNĄ UWAŻAMY ZA OTWARTĄ”

       Rozpoczęła się rywalizacja w różnych dyscyplinach i na różnych arenach sportowych: biegi na kilku dystansach, skok w dal, wzwyż, pchnięcie kulą, sztafety. Nie zabrakło konkurencji typowo rekreacyjnych: rowerowy tor przeszkód, przeciąganie liny, konkursy z hula-hop i skakanką, slalomy itp. Wymagały one od uczestników głównie woli walki, ale też sprytu i dobrej kondycji. Swoje stoisko przygotował również Szkolny Klub Miłośników Planszowych Gier Logicznych i Strategicznych Staszicowa Centuria. Wrażeń było więc co niemiara.

     W trakcie imprezy zebrani obejrzeli pokaz ratownictwa drogowego. Pokaz akcji ratunkowej przeprowadzony został przez Ochotniczą Straż Pożarną w Gąbinie. Strażacy z OSP przyjechali dwoma wozami i w pełnym rynsztunku pokazali, jak ratują poszkodowanego z wypadku samochodowego, a przedstawiciele Komendy Miejskiej Policji z Płocka zaprezentowali skutki jazdy samochodem po zażyciu środków odurzających.

W trakcie trwania imprezy sportowej odbyło się rozstrzygnięcie szkolnego konkursu na plakat zatytułowany „Sport, a nie hejt”. Prace uczniów bardzo twórcze i pomysłowe, pokazały talenty artystyczne, jakie posiada ucząca się w naszej szkole młodzież.

Dobry nastrój nie opuszczał uczestników, a nadwątlone siły wracały po poczęstunku przygotowanym przez gospodarzy.

       Zmagania sportowe zakończyły się wręczeniem nagród i dyplomów oraz postanowieniem, że za rok spotkamy się ponownie w Gąbinie na VIII Olimpiadzie.
