Święta Bożego Narodzenia to szczególny czas, kiedy ”Niebo ziemi, niebu ziemia, wszyscy wszystkim ślą życzenia”. Tym fragmentem piosenki Czerwonych Gitar do tekstu Krzysztofa Dzikowskiego Pani Dyrektor – Danuta Kowalkowska-Fiłoniuk rozpoczęła uroczyste spotkanie przedświąteczne Społeczności szkolnej Zespołu Szkół im. St. Staszica w Gąbinie.

Życzenia ciepła, radości, pokoju i serdeczności skierowała do Rady Pedagogicznej, Pracowników Administracji i Obsługi, Rodziców oraz Młodzieży.

Życzenia mogą być banalne, ale mogą też mieć szerszy wymiar i nieść głębokie treści. Takie właśnie usłyszeliśmy od Pani Dyrektor: „Chcę Wam życzyć ciepła, żebyście promieniowali czymś tak dobrym jak ciepło. I jak do ciepła garną się zmarznięci ludzie, tak do Was niech przychodzą, by się ogrzać, uzyskać pokrzepienie, doświadczyć dobrego słowa. Chcę Wam życzyć radości, żebyście zawsze mieli pogodne serce i uśmiechniętą twarz, abyście dodawali w ten sposób odwagi do radości innym. Chcę Wam życzyć pokoju żebyście byli wewnątrz łagodni, żebyście  oddalili chaos i hałas, zgiełk i wrzask, żebyście wyciągali rękę do zgody, żebyście godzili innych. Chcę Wam życzyć serdeczności, abyście doświadczali jej od tych, których spotykacie na co dzień. Serdeczność jest jak przyjaźń, jak dobroć. Nie bójcie się jej, ale wychodźcie jej naprzeciw.”

Wraz z życzeniami Pani Dyrektor przekazała  Betlejemskie Światło Pokoju, które po raz pierwszy zagościło w naszej Szkole za sprawą gąbińskich harcerzy wraz z druhną Anną Brodowską.

W Polsce akcję od 1991 roku prowadzą harcerze ze Związku Harcerstwa Polskiego, którzy odbierają Betlejemskie Światło Pokoju od skautów słowackich na przejściu granicznym w Tatrach. Światło to za sprawą harcerzy trafia do miast i wsi. Jest symbolem ciepła, miłości, pokoju i nadziei-tradycyjnie jest stawiane na wigilijnym stole; dziś rozświetliło nasze przedświąteczne spotkanie.

Życzenia na nadchodzące Święta również przekazała wszystkim przewodnicząca Samorządu Uczniowskiego -Weronika Tarka uczennica klasy II Ti.

W klimat prawdziwie świąteczny wprowadził nas program pt. „Starcie dwóch mocy”,  przygotowany przez uczniów klas: II LO, I LO, II Ti, III TH pod kierunkiem księdza Karola Kozerskiego. Oprawę muzyczną zapewnił pan Tomasz Obidowski zaś technicznie nad całością czuwał pan  Konrad Obidowski. Scenografię wykonały panie:Alicja Lodzińska i Maria Olszewska.

Po obejrzeniu programu artystycznego przedstawiciele klas zabrali przygotowany wcześniej opłatek do swoich pracowni, by tam przełamać się nim z wychowawcą oraz koleżankami i kolegami.
