W dniu 17.03.2018r. na Wydziale Samochodów i Maszyn Roboczych Politechniki Warszawskiej odbyła się XIX edycja Olimpiady Techniki Samochodowej.  Organizatorami tej prestiżowej imprezy była Redakcja Auto – Moto – Serwis oraz Wydawnictwo Komunikacji i Łączności. Ma ona zasięg ogólnopolski i została objęta honorowym patronatem Ministra Edukacji Narodowej. Uczniowie mieli do rozwiązania test składający się z 40 pytań,  obejmujących wiedzę z zakresu: podstaw konstrukcji maszyn, budowy pojazdów samochodowych, diagnozowania i naprawy zespołów oraz układów pojazdów samochodowych, umiejętności posługiwania się narzędziami i przyrządami, w tym pomiarowymi, bezpieczeństwa i higieny pracy oraz ochrony środowiska.  Celem Olimpiady było upowszechnianie i pogłębianie wiedzy z zakresu techniki samochodowej oraz rywalizacja pomiędzy szkołami.

Naszą szkołę reprezentowali uczniowie z klasy II technik pojazdów samochodowych: Bartosiak Dawid, Gralewski Maciej, Idzik Artur. Po rozwiązaniu testu uczniowie mieli możliwość zwiedzania sal wykładowych i laboratoriów Wydziału Samochodów i Maszyn Roboczych Politechniki Warszawskiej.
