Pewien słoneczny październikowy poranek rozpoczął się nieco inaczej dla grupy młodzieży z Zespołu Szkół w Gąbinie. Klasy ILO2 i klasa IV TI pod opieką wychowawców Doroty Izydorskiej i Kamilli Krakowskiej oraz pani Marii Olszewskiej wybrały się na wycieczkę do Płocka.

Najpierw udaliśmy się do kina Przedwiośnie na poruszający dramat psychologiczny „Joker” z Joaquin’em Phoenixem w roli głównej. Akcja filmu rozgrywa się latach osiemdziesiątych XX wieku w Gotham City, gdzie główny bohater Arthur Fleck, nieudolny komik zaczyna siać zbrodnie i chaos. Jest to o tyle ciekawy i wart obejrzenia film, że porusza wiele różnych problemów od osamotnienia, rządzy władzy i chęci zaistnienia za wszelką cenę, po rozpaczliwe wołanie o pomoc osoby chorej czy próbę walki z systemem politycznym. Na szczególną uwagę zasługuje doskonała kreacja aktorska stworzona przez Phoenixa, który  krok po kroku ujawnia portret psychologiczny bezwzględnego mordercy.

Kontowersyjnych uwag i dyskusji po obejrzanym seansie nie było końca i na pewno długo go nie zapomnimy.

Po filmie wyruszyliśmy na zajęcia polonistyczne z cyklu „Tumskie potyczki językowe”w Książnicy Płockiej, na których mieliśmy okazję przyjrzeć się bliżej licznym dialektom i gwarze języka polskiego. Poznaliśmy różne słowa z gwary podhalańskiej, dialektu śląskiego i wielkopolskiego. Zapoznaliśmy się z charakterystycznymi cechami dialektu mazowieckiego i dowiedzieliśmy się dlaczego dialekt kaszubski jest językiem, a także czym różni się gwara od dialektu. Mieliśmy też okazję sprawdzić swoją wiedzę z zakresu dialektologii. Dodatkowo zwiedziliśmy wystawę o pisarzu – emigrancie Gustawie Herlingu Grudzińskim, która szczególnie przydała się naszym tegorocznym maturzystom.
