Już od ponad dwunastu lat Klub Ośmiu – Młodzieżowy Wolontariat podejmuje różnego rodzaju działania na rzecz potrzebujących pomocy. Każdego roku listopad i grudzień to bardzo gorące miesiące dla członków i sympatyków Klubu.
Podobnie jak w latach ubiegłych gościliśmy grupę uczniów wraz z nauczycielami z Zespołu Szkół Specjalnych w Goślicach i
w Mocarzewie. W dniu 22 listopada 2016 roku zostało zorganizowane spotkanie integracyjne. Wolontariusze wraz z opiekunami przygotowali zabawy i poczęstunek. Także nauczyciele biblioteki szkolnej i wychowania fizycznego urozmaicili program ciekawymi zajęciami.
9 grudnia br. zostały zorganizowane obchody Powiatowego Dnia Wolontariusza. Jako współgospodarze przygotowaliśmy konferencję i wystawę poświęconą wolontariatowi. Cała społeczność szkolna włączyła się do pracy.
Jesienią Klub Ośmiu przeprowadzał zbiórkę okularów dla dzieci z Afryki. Przez cały rok szkolny we współpracy z Państwową Wyższą Szkołą Zawodową zbieramy niepotrzebne używane telefony komórkowe na potrzeby Towarzystwa Opieki nad Ociemniałymi w Laskach.
W dniach 17-18 grudnia br. grupa wolontariuszy chętnie zaangażowała się do pomocy w organizacji wigilii przygotowywanej od wielu lat przez Burmistrza Miasta i Gminy Gąbin oraz Miejsko-Gminny Ośrodek Pomocy Społecznej w Gąbinie.
Nasi przedstawiciele mieli również możliwość obejrzenia przedstawienia jasełkowego „Prawda jest tylko jedna” w Zespole Szkół Specjalnych w Mocarzewie.
Wzorem lat ubiegłych – również w tym roku odbywała się zbiórka darów dla Domu Dziecka w Gostyninie pn. „Świąteczna paczka”. Darczyńcy przekazywali słodycze, pomoce szkolne, zabawki i kosmetyki. W 21 grudnia br. przedstawiciele Klubu Ośmiu wraz
z opiekunem przekazali świąteczne paczki od społeczności naszej szkoły w Powiatowym Zespole Placówek Opiekuńczo-Wychowawczych w Gostyninie.
Młodzież działająca w Klubie Ośmiu zbierała monety groszowe w ramach akcji GÓRA GROSZA.
Od wielu lat współpracujemy z Domem Pomocy Społecznej w Koszelewie. W listopadzie grupa uczniów pod kierunkiem p. Barbary Łukaszewskiej i p. Tomasza Obidowskiego zaprezentowała program patriotyczny. Natomiast w grudniu wolontariusze wykonali kartki świąteczne, które zostały przekazane pensjonariuszom tego ośrodka.
Członkowie Klubu Ośmiu chętnie włączają się w różne działania na terenie szkoły i miasta. Pomoc potrzebującym daje im dużo satysfakcji.
Bardzo dziękujemy wszystkim za wsparcie inicjatyw podejmowanych przez Klub Ośmiu.
