XXVIII Ogólnopolskie Sympozjum Szkół Staszicowskich odbyło się tym razem w dniach 1-2 października b.r. w Pile. Jest to kolebka Patrona, dlatego też wyjazd reprezentacji naszej Szkoły był tak ważny. Wraz z Sympozjum przeprowadzono finał etapu centralnego Ogólnopolskiego Konkursu Wiedzy o Stanisławie Staszicu. W finale brała udział uczennica naszej Szkoły z klasy II LO – Paulina Opalewska. Sympozjum miało bogaty program. Uroczyste otwarcie obrad nastąpiło pierwszego października w auli Audytorium Maximum Państwowej Wyższej Szkoły Zawodowej im. St. Staszica w Pile . Zaraz po części oficjalnej młodzież pilskiego Zespołu Szkół przybliżyła obecnym w auli postać Patrona w starannie przygotowanym programie artystycznym.

Obrady ukoronował finał etapu centralnego Konkursu Wiedzy o Patronie w którym uczestniczyli uczniowie szkół klubowych. Po uroczystościach w świetlicy szkolnej odbyło się Walne Zgromadzenie członków Towarzystwa Szkół Staszicowskich, a zaraz po obiedzie udaliśmy się na zwiedzanie Muzeum Trofeów Myśliwskich oraz spotkanie w Philips Lighting Poland SA. Po wspólnym grillowaniu w ośrodku wypoczynkowym Geovita-Płotki młodzież obejrzała Film „Król życia” w pilskim kinie Helios. Drugi dzień Sympozjum był równie atrakcyjny i ciekawy. Zapoczątkowało go spotkanie wszystkich uczestników w Zespole Szkół im. St. Staszica w Pile, gdzie nastąpiło podsumowanie, ogłoszenie wyników oraz wręczenie nagród. Zwieńczeniem pobytu w Pile było wspólne przejście pod pomnik St. Staszica i złożenie kwiatów oraz zwiedzanie Muzeum Wielkiego Pilanina i Muzeum Okręgowego w Pile. Uczestnictwo w Sympozjum Szkół Staszicowskich było dla nas kolejnym etapem w działaniach, tym bardziej, że to w naszej Szkole 6 czerwca 2014 r. podczas XXVII Sympozjum została podjęta uchwała o ogłoszeniu w szkołach klubowych „Lat Patrona” w związku z przypadającym w 2015 i 2016 roku jubileuszem 260-lecia urodzin i 190-tej rocznicy śmierci St. Staszica. Coroczne spotkania przedstawicieli szkół klubowych przybliżają i utrwalają postać oraz nieprzemijające wartości myśli społeczno-filozoficznej St. Staszica w pamięci zbiorowej uczniów, nauczycieli i sympatyków Towarzystwa Szkół Staszicowskich.
