„Każdy ma swój Mount Everest” to hasło przewodnie super maratonu Janusza Radgowskiego, niepełnosprawnego maratończyka, mieszkającego na co dzień w Domu Pomocy Społecznej w Koszelewie. Pragnąc pomóc 4-letniej Klaudii Kamińskiej, chorej na nowotwór złośliwy, pokonał trasę Rzym – Wadowice na wózku inwalidzkim.
4 listopada 2015 roku uczniowie klasy I M i IV TW mieli zaszczyt spotkać się z tym niezwykłym człowiekiem. Pan Janusz podzielił się z młodzieżą doświadczeniem w pokonywaniu przeciwności zarówno w sporcie, jak i w życiu czy w chorobie. Mimo wielu problemów zdrowotnych, z którymi pan Janusz zmaga się na co dzień, postawił sobie za cel pomagać w leczeniu i rehabilitacji chorych dzieci. Zwrócił uwagę, iż sport może uczyć szacunku do drugiego człowieka, pokory dla życia i doceniania tego, co mamy. Gorąco zachęcał młodzież do wyznaczania sobie celów, do odwagi i do odporności na wszelkie pokusy czyhające na ludzi w młodym wieku. Nawiązał ciepły kontakt z uczniami, opowiadając o swoim życiu i trudnościach, z którymi borykał się będąc w ich wieku. Poprosił również wszystkich o kibicowanie i wspieranie jego kolejnego maratonu Pacific-Atlantic, który dedykuje Zuzi Jędrachowicz, dziewczynce z wrodzoną, wadą mózgu. Pan Janusz zainspirował wszystkich pokazując, że każdy z nas ma do zdobycia swój Mount Everest i nie warto się poddawać. Spotkanie to było cenną lekcją, która na długo pozostanie w naszej pamięci.
Dziękujemy panu Januszowi za wizytę w naszej szkole oraz za chwile wzruszeń i refleksji. Życzymy zdrowia i realizacji kolejnych szlachetnych celów!
