„Ojczyzna to wielkie słowo […] wszyscy zgodnie chcieli i nadal pragną, aby
Polska była zawsze wolna, piękna i lepsza. My również tym pragnieniem
połączeni o Ojczyźnie naszej dziś chcemy mówić.”
Tymi słowami uczniowie kl. III LO rozpoczęli poetycko – muzyczną
lekcję historii z okazji obchodów Narodowego Święta Niepodległości.
Program przygotowany pod kierunkiem pp. A. Lodzińskiej, K. Świerczyńskiej
we współpracy z p. K. Obidowskim miał na celu przekonanie społeczności
szkolnej, że „Wszystkie wichry historii, ciemne chmury nad Polską są niczym
w porównaniu z siłą patriotyzmu i polskości. Siła ducha, wiara w ideały,
solidarność z cierpiącymi, poświęcenie to wartości, które nie przemijają,
nie zależą od czasu i miejsca.”

Licealiści z wyczuciem, przejęciem i ogromnym zaangażowaniem przedstawili treści i przesłanie tego spotkania; w śpiewie, recytacji, czy pantomimie.

W finale programu widzowie wysłuchali fragmentu przemówienia do młodzieży zgromadzonej na Wzgórzu Lecha w dn. 3 czerwca 1979r.

„Moi Drodzy,
Te słowa mówi do was człowiek, który swoją duchową formację zawdzięcza od początku polskiej kulturze, polskiej literaturze, polskiej muzyce, plastyce, teatrowi – polskiej historii, polskim tradycjom chrześcijańskim, polskim szkołom, polskim uniwersytetom.

Mówiąc do was, młodych, w ten sposób, pragnę przede wszystkim spłacić dług, jaki zaciągnąłem wobec tego wspaniałego dziedzictwa ducha, jakie zaczęło się od Bogurodzicy. Równocześnie zaś pragnę dziś stanąć przed wami z tym dziedzictwem, jako wspólnym dobrem wszystkich Polaków, a zarazem z wybitną cząstką europejskiej i ogólnoludzkiej kultury. I proszę was:

Pozostańcie wierni temu dziedzictwu! Uczyńcie je podstawą swojego wychowania! Uczyńcie je przedmiotem szlachetnej dumy! Przechowajcie to dziedzictwo! Pomnóżcie to dziedzictwo! Przekażcie je następnym pokoleniom!

Zwieńczeniem całości była piosenka „Jest taki kraj na łąkach snu” w aranżacji M. Piecki oraz pantomimie wszystkich aktorów (kl.III LO).

P. D. Kowalkowska – Fiłoniuk – Dyrektor Szkoły, w swojej wypowiedzi podkreśliła, że wartości o których mówiono w programie mają ogromne znaczenie dla nas żyjących współcześnie, ale również dla przyszłych pokoleń, oraz podziękowała wszystkim, którzy przyczynili się do zorganizowania tej patriotycznej uroczystości.

Z okazji Narodowego Święta Niepodległości czytelnikom powyższego artykułu, chciałabym zadedykować słowa Jarosława Marka Rymkiewicza:
„Bycie Polakiem to najpiękniejsza rzecz, jaka spotkała mnie w życiu. Życzę wszystkim, by to zrozumieli.”
