Dnia 16 listopada uczennica naszej szkoły Weronika Tarka z klasy II TI pod opieką wychowawczyni p. Doroty Izydorskiej uczestniczyła w przesłuchaniu do III edycji Konkursu Piosenki Obcojęzycznej w Warszawie. Przesłuchania do konkursu odbyły się w Bielańskim Ośrodku Kultury przy ul.Goldoniego.
Weronika nie tylko zaprezentowała swój talent wokalny przed ‘warszawską’publicznością i znakomitym jury, ale też wykazała się dużą odwagą prezentując dwa utwory w języku angielskim i niemieckim. Angielska piosenka, którą zaśpiewała na konkursie to utwór Adele „ Million years ago”,natomiast niemiecka piosenka to utwór rockowej wokalistki Neny pt.„Irgendwie, irgendwo, irgendwann”. Weronika przygotowywała się językowo do udziału w konkursie pod opieką p. Doroty Izydorskiej i p.M.Sosińskiej.
Zmagania konkursowe trwały dwa dni, a uczestnicy konkursu to uzdolnieni wokalnie uczniowie ostatnich klas gimnazjum i szkół ponadgimnazjalnych z całego województwa mazowieckiego, głównie z Warszawy,a także z Błonia, Mławy, Radomia.
Uczestnicy konkursu prezentowali utwory nie tylko w języku angielskim, niemieckim, ale także rosyjskim, francuskim, włoskim,hiszpańskim i japońskim. W jury konkursu zasiedli min p. Justyna Karwacka uczestniczka przesłuchań w ciemno i bitwy z 8 edycji programu Voice of Poland, a także trener wokalny Voice and More, a jednocześnie uczestnik drugiej edycji Voice of Poland p. Jacek Maślanka i wielu innych. Oceniano nie tylko umiejętności wokalne,ale też poprawność językową oraz wizerunek sceniczny.
