26 października uczestniczyliśmy w spotkaniu autorskim z Elżbietą Cherezińską, które odbyło się w Książnicy Płockiej im. Wł. Broniewskiego. Przedstawiciele z Zespołu Szkół im. St. Staszica w Gąbinie – uczniowie z klasy I LO i I KM wraz z opiekunami p. B. Kowalczyk i p. M. Olszewską wysłuchali barwnych opowieści o zaraniu Państwa Polskiego. Niczym Szeherezada, snująca Baśnie z tysiąca i jednej nocy – p. Elżbieta Cherezińska odsłaniała przed słuchaczami coraz to nowe wątki o walecznym księciu – Mieszku I, o księżniczce Dobrawie, czy też o rodzeństwie, które pozostawiło w historii Polski niezatarty ślad – Bolesławie i jego sprytnej siostrze Świętosławie.
Już na wstępie autorka uprzedziła nas, że to nie będzie kolejna lekcja historii , gdzie mówi się o datach, nazwiskach, faktach i wydarzeniach. To była swoista, wspaniała podróż w przeszłość z pasjonatką tamtych czasów, wzbogacona w mistrzowski sposób jej kunsztem pisarskim i niesamowitą wiedzą o Rodzie Piastów.
Spotkanie było bardzo ciekawe, na pamiątkę otrzymaliśmy wpisy z autografem pisarki w książkach jej autorstwa, które posiadamy w Bibliotece szkolnej.
