Uczniowie ze wszystkich klas uczących w zawodzie technik pojazdów samochodowych Zespołu Szkół im. Stanisława Staszica w Gąbinie w dniu 3 listopada 2017 roku uczestniczyli w wycieczce na targi Retro Motor Show na terenie Międzynarodowych Targów Poznańskich. Mieli niepowtarzalną okazję przenieść się wklimat poprzedniej epoki i podziwiać zabytkowe pojazdy rodzimej i światowej produkcji. Wśród prezentowanych ponad 600 pojazdów zabytkowych można było zobaczyć między innymi limuzynę królowej Elżbiety II, czy łódź motorową z filmu „Żyj i pozwól umrzeć”, którą pływał James Bond. Uczniowie z ogromnym zainteresowaniem podziwiali zabytkowe pojazdy. Wysłuchali również prelekcji i wzięli udział w warsztatach i pokazach z naprawy oraz renowacji pojazdów. Poznali specyfikę napraw blacharskich czy lakierniczych.
Zgodnie z tradycją i w tym roku nasi uczniowie przystąpili do projektu „Szkoła Renowacji Pojazdów”, w ramach którego wyremontują i przeprowadzą renowację prawie 40 letniego motoroweru. Prezentacja efektów pracy odbędzie się podczas Międzynarodowych Targów Motoryzacyjnych w kwietniu 2018 roku.
Cel targów Retro Motor Show i Szkoły Renowacji Pojazdów to przede wszystkim zaszczepienie pasji do motoryzacji, możliwość zdobycia przez młodzież dodatkowych umiejętności i doświadczenia oraz aktywizacja uczniów do pracy w zespole. To również możliwość poznania nowoczesnych technologii i udziału w specjalistycznych szkoleniach.
Podczas wycieczki uczniami opiekowali się nauczyciele: Elżbieta Błaszczyk, Grzegorz Cichosz, Mariusz Janczewski i Adam Zwarycz.
