W Zespole Szkół im. Stanisława Staszica w Gąbinie w roku szkolnym 2019/2020 po raz kolejny był realizowany program edukacyjny „Ars, czyli jak dbać o miłość” w zakresie przeciwdziałania uzależnieniu od alkoholu, tytoniu i innych środków psychoaktywnych. Program powstał dzięki wsparciu finansowemu Szwajcarii w ramach Szwajcarsko-Polskiego Programu Współpracy. Instytucją realizującą projekt jest Państwowa Inspekcja Sanitarna, a Honorowym Patronem programu Ministerstwo Edukacji Narodowej.
Wyjątkowość tego programu polega na nowoczesnym podejściu do profilaktyki uzależnień. W programie nie skupiono się na negatywnych skutkach zdrowotnych używania substancji psychoaktywnych, ale na wartościach uznawanych przez młodych ludzi za ważne, takich jak miłość, rodzina, bezpieczeństwo, i o tym jak nadużywanie tych substancji może negatywnie wpływać na te wartości.
Od listopada do lutego odbywały się zajęcia w sześciu klasach, podczas których młodzież dowiedziała się jak mieć odpowiedni dystans do używania substancji psychoaktywnych, jakie są skutki ich zażywania oraz jak substancje psychoaktywne wpływają na zdrowie przyszłego potomstwa.
W styczniu odbył się również konkurs szkolny na najciekawszy plakat pod hasłem „Nie zmarnuj swojego życia”. Treści z zakresu profilaktyki uzależnień były również przekazywane uczniom podczas realizacji zdalnego nauczania.
Przez kolejne lata nauki szkolnej program będzie realizowany sukcesywnie w pozostałych klasach.
