A wall of horses charging at infantry - particularly engaged infantry's flanks - will badly affect their morale, and often will lead to a rout before the cavalry even arrive. the late campaign works perfectly,minus a few times i havent been able to click on a town unless a unit is near it.But when i try to play custom campaign it just has the standard DME factions,no new ones.ive re-downloaded,no luck.copied the custom folder and followed the correct path into DME campaign folder and pasted the custom one.do i need to manually delete the standard DME custom folder or open it then paste your custom folder or do i need to open your custom folder and then copy/paste the actual startpos.esf file into the existing DME custom folder and manually delete the one thats already there? Late campaign is awesome really enjoying all the new factions with the DME experience. So basically cavalry serve a different purpose in this mod, no longer can you charge at the front of a wall of bayonets and have a chance to overcome you have to use them more wisely or else you can rest assured your cavalry will be retreating the battle from mass amount of deaths. In vanilla the best tactic was to march into maximum range then open fire. Once the enemy is routed THEN the cavalry get the kill on. I personally use the Great War mod for NTW because the Napoleonic wars can be made in my mod for ETW (more or less) if you take France and invade Egypt, Italy, Malta, Prussia and Russia.
