First thing I noticed was the funky smell of the pen.

The EF Steel Ultra Flex nib is $14 in addition to the cost of the pen which is $35.

It draws better than some of my other more expensive pens. I tried adjusting the flow by widening the plastic feed channels, tried to heatset (though not ebonite, it has been suggested as a remedy).

This nib in a Himalaya is lovely and soft flex, with perfect ink flow that never railroads, and makes for beautiful shading with shading inks. It’s a bit stiff for a flex though it is a steel nib. From $7.00 FPR #5.5 Chrome EF Ultra Flex Nib.

It smells like vomit and it does tranfer to your hands.
