Just for general information if you ride a motorcycle, the sleeves should be at least 1-1/2"- 2" past your wrist and the length of the jacket should be past the belt line and rest on the top of the hip area. I am looking for a more snug fit. Gail

The 118 I am considering buying is very lightly used and the tag says as follows [first line: 1329 027 / second line: 118 / third line: 40 ]. Also, what kind of ensemble goes with this kind of leather jacket, assuming one … at 05:35 AM, Looking at the pocket ticket numbers you listed on the used 118, I see you have not listed a barcode number.
The Vanson garments, all in size 42, fit a bit more snugly in the waist than does the Schott 141. Contact Gail at Schott and she can help you get the right size. At 6'2" I am surprise the jacket is long enough for you, especially if you ride as the sleeves and back must be long enough that they do not ride up when arms are extended. Are you talking about the Schott cafe jacket? I'm 10lbs lighter than you and about an inch taller but I wear a 42.
It seems you have tried on a new 618 which has recently been updated in fit, you can email Jerri in customer service and she can send you the current specs for the 618.
I don't think it would be wise to up-size the Schott. How does the sizing for this jacket run, anyway, and how are leather jackets supposed to fit? The Perfecto name includes a bunch of different jackets, as far as I remember. I do have room for layering just a bit.
If I had order one size up from my normal size, the 44 would have been like a tent on me. Your first post with the pocket ticket information confirmed the jacket was a style 118 which was a larger cut then the 618, this why ordering up was advised. The barcode number and a little additional information about the jacket can determine the year of production. I take a 46 (tweed) jacket, and from my experience a Schott two or even three sizes up would fit well--does this fit with others' experience? I am 6'2 / 180lbs and the size 40 perfecto fits perfectly! He's of medium build. Also, any advice on the "sport" sizing (XL, 2XL, 3XL), etc would be welcome.

You can then compare the measurements to the 118 that you want to purchase. What year did the current measurements start being produced? Bored of counting likes on social networks? Schott has a size estimator on the product page of each of their products. point being, even if you pay the full schott price of around $635 for the size 48 that i got, it's pretty much as good as an aero, lewis or eastman, which are all in the $900 range these days. Reading your height 6'2" and having an athletic build I am surprised a 618 fit you in back and sleeve length and that the waist area was not too wide for an athlectic build.

In my case, when I bought my jacket it was so tight it crushed and bent my sunglasses in my shirt pocket, but now I can easily get it on with the liner in over a pretty thick sweater and a scarf. at 08:03 AM. It will stretch and conform and become more comfortable and looser. Gail
