It is really interesting to see how the hotel looked decades ago and how much changed and how much is still the same.We ate Christmas dinner at the Cascades Restaurant. The front desk staff, the lounge and restaurant and cafe personnel were great and very helpful. They were placed in the presidential suite (#217), being the only room left with clean bedsheets. On the third day they “fixed” the light issue and that is when we saw they only had temporary lights – such as you would have under your kitchen cabinets – stuck to ceiling of the elevator. It’s something The Stanley’s general manager, Dave Ciani, isn’t complaining about. He was to find out soon after that these children also did not belong to any of the staff members working at the premises. But it was a great epxerience, even if we won't return again.
I didn’t think it was so scary, but everyone could react differently. It got so HOT at night. Special requests for it can only be made over the phone. I can assure you, there is no woman in the bathtub, but that doesn’t mean that the room isn’t haunted. Our room was good, a little tight in the bathroom but good overall.We didn't take the ghost tour but did walk the property and we enjoyed that just as well.
She amuses the ghost hunters by fulfilling their requests, frequently interacting with them with flashing lights. I love that there is not AC......the open windows in our room were just the right touch.....and we looked out onto the lovely rose gardens. So bottom line, I would not go to the restaurant.

It is very clean, and perfectly decorated striking a balance of modern amenities with period elegance. It is probably best to get in contact with the Stanley Hotel and ask them directly.
